We are Here but Not All

This event was the first in-person performance together of three of the members of Heya Collective (Sokhon, Sellner and Mekawei). Using voice, field recordings, software and hardware, the semi-improvised live sound work will be the culmination of several years of remote networked collaborations and shared experiences which, despite not all of us having met yet, have cultivated a space for care and hope in action.

I produced a piece for £aBowl which is an edited recorded conversation between Nour, Yara and myself a few day after our Berlin performance. We reflected, over wine and food very late at night (this was the only time that they were both available), our experiences of in person and networked collaboration.

Kevin Logan (associate lecturer on the BA/MA Sound Arts courses at LCC, University of the Arts, London) plays overripe sounds from his Bandcamp label £aBowl Releases + two regular features: How to Do Things with Sound, where guest artists are invited to play and talk about their work and Out & About, which shares recent recordings made of gigs, performances, exhibitions and other general sonic stuff. This episode feature the Heya Collective. Starts at 30:00. Originally broadcast on RTM.com.
